Plain Sycamore

The maple tree is a widely distributed deciduous tree, found in Europe, Eurasia, and North America. Maple wood (Acer in Latin) is light, almost white, moderately heavy, and firm. While it is somewhat hard, the wood is easy to work with, and its surface polishes and stains well. However, it tends to yellow when exposed to sunlight.

The veneer has a rather simple appearance, though discoloration or browning can occur.
