Limba Furnier

Limba

Limba is found in the West African rainforest between Sierra Leone and the Congo. The tree species is particularly prevalent in the Congo, which is why it is one of the main export woods from southern Congo.
The wood has a light yellow color, although there are also dark limba woods. The structure is wavy, but still even. It looks very similar to koto wood.
Limba is often used for the production of plywood and rotary-cut veneer, and as veneer it is often used for paintable doors. It is easy to work with, although drying should be done carefully due to internal stresses.
